Backround: Generation Z, born and raised in the digital era, maintains a strong connection with technology particularly social media—as a primary source of information, including in the domain of Islamic understanding.

Objective: This article examines how social media influences the Islamic understanding of Generation Z, encompassing both its benefits and challenges. Social media provides rapid and accessible pathways to diverse Islamic resources, offering interactive platforms such as digital lectures, online discussions, and supportive virtual communities that facilitate religious identity exploration.

Method: This study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach to analyze the influence of social media on the Islamic understanding of Generation Z.

Findings and Implications: The findings indicate that social media provides a broad range of resources that aid in religious education, including digital lectures and interactive online communities. However, challenges such as misinformation, distorted teachings, and short-form content that lacks depth are prevalent. These factors contribute to a fragmented understanding of Islam among Generation Z. The study also highlights the need for strategic approaches to foster digital literacy and collaborate with scholars and content creators to ensure that Islamic content is accurate and contextually grounded.

Conclusion: While social media has the potential to enhance Islamic understanding among Generation Z, it also poses risks related to the spread of misinformation and radical ideologies. To address these issues, it is crucial to cultivate digital literacy, ensure the production of credible Islamic content, and encourage collaboration between scholars and digital platforms.

Metaphor Analysis of Cirebon Traditional Songs in the Sintren Ritual

Background: Sintren is a traditional ritual performance originating from the northern coastal region of Java, particularly in the Cirebon area, combining elements of dance, music, and spiritual belief. The traditional songs performed during the sintren ritual contain linguistic expressions that often carry metaphorical meanings reflecting the sociocultural, historical, and spiritual values of the Cirebon community.

Objective: This study aims to identify and analyze the conceptual metaphors found in three traditional Cirebon songs performed during the sintren ritual, namely Terap Banda, Turun Sintren, and Jala Tangi, using the framework of Conceptual Metaphor Theory (CMT).

Method: This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The data consist of song lyrics from the three selected sintren songs, which were collected through documentation techniques. The lyrics were analyzed through close reading and interpreted using Conceptual Metaphor Theory to identify source domains, target domains, and metaphorical mappings embedded in the songs.

Findings and Implications: The analysis reveals that each song contains distinct metaphorical constructions rooted in the sociocultural context of the Cirebon community. These findings demonstrate that traditional songs function not only as ritual accompaniment but also as cultural narratives encoding historical memory, identity, and resistance.

Conclusion: The study confirms that conceptual metaphors play a crucial role in constructing meaning in traditional Cirebon sintren songs. Metaphor serves as a cognitive and cultural mechanism through which communities express historical experiences, spiritual beliefs, and collective identity. Furthermore, the study highlights the relevance of Conceptual Metaphor Theory in analyzing indigenous oral traditions and contributes to the preservation and understanding of Cirebon’s cultural heritage.

The Impact of Social Media on New Vocabulary Adoption Among Indonesian Teenagers

The purpose of this study is to explore the factors influencing the adoption of new vocabulary in the Indonesian language through social media. This research employs a quantitative approach with a sample of 400 respondents, focusing on Indonesian teenagers who are active users of various social media platforms. The object of the study is the usage of newly emerging vocabulary in the Indonesian language. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire distributed online via Google Forms. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27 software. The results show that the frequency of social media use, the incorporation of new vocabulary into daily conversations, and the use of slang have a significant effect on the frequency of new vocabulary adoption. In addition, the findings indicate that younger generations tend to be more open and inclined to adopt new linguistic trends emerging from social media. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.42 demonstrates that the independent variables explain 42% of the variation in the adoption of new vocabulary in the Indonesian language, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

The success of a business is not only measured by the amount of revenue generated, but also by the number of satisfied consumers with the products produced by the company. This study provides an in-depth analysis of the role of Islamic business ethics in influencing consumer trust. This study utilizes literature reviews to explore Sharia principles in business ethics. The results of the study show that significantly sharia principles, such as divinity (tawhid) as a spiritual foundation between humans and their God, justice (al-'adl) in every transaction carried out, benefits (maslahah) aimed at the common welfare, mutual assistance (ta'awun) with fellow believers in goodness, honesty or transparency as a pillar of integration, and the prohibition of acts forbidden by Allah (riba, gharar, and maysir) have an impact on consumer trust. This trust is manifested in consumer perceptions of the morals of companies or business actors in terms of providing quality products or services, as well as the existence of good and sincere intentions in carrying out social responsibility in society.

Background: Student mental health represents a critical challenge in educational settings, particularly in international schools characterized by high academic pressure and cultural diversity. The suicide of a student at Magenta International Middle School underscored the vital role of symbolic interaction and communication in the school environment.
Objectives: This study aims to analyze the role of symbolic interaction communication in shaping students' mental health, identify communication factors contributing to feelings of isolation and mental distress, explore the application of symbolic interaction theory in mental health intervention programs, and formulate strategies for improving interpersonal communication between students
Method: This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design at Magenta International Middle School, an Islamic-based international school.
Finding and Implications: The study revealed that symbolic interactions between students and teachers significantly impact student mental health. Seventy-eight percent of students reported increased motivation and confidence when receiving personalized attention and empathetic communication from teachers, while 22% of students who felt neglected experienced heightened stress and anxiety. Implementation of symbolic interaction-based mentoring and counseling programs resulted in a 30% reduction in student anxiety within six months and 40% increased closeness with teachers.
Conclusion: Symbolic interaction communication plays a pivotal role in student mental health within international school contexts. The application of Herbert Blumer's symbolic interaction theory provides an effective framework for designing preventive interventions, emphasizing the need for empathetic teacher-student interactions, structured mental health support systems, and collaborative engagement among students, teachers, and parents to create safe, inclusive, and mentally supportive educational environments.

Socialization of Use Application Quiz Based E_Lkpd at State Vocational School 1 Waingapu Students

Background: The utilization of digital-based learning media at SMK Negeri 1 Waingapu remained limited, with conventional print-out-based LKPD continuing to dominate classroom instruction, highlighting the urgent need for the adoption of more interactive and innovative digital instructional tools.

Objective: This study aimed to introduce the Quizizz application integrated with Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD) to teachers and students at SMK Negeri 1 Waingapu as an alternative to conventional learning media.

Method: A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, involving 3 teachers and 33 Class X Hospitality students as research subjects. Data were collected through structured observation, interviews, and questionnaires administered after socialization and training activities. The program encompassed three stages: preparation, implementation of socialization and hands-on training, and evaluation.

Results: 70% of students and 67% of teachers rated the relevance of the material as very good; 90% of students rated the application as easy to use; 80% of students reported increased learning interest; and 100% of teachers recommended the continued implementation of Quizizz and E-LKPD.

Implications: The integration of Quizizz and E-LKPD constitutes an effective and innovative instructional strategy capable of replacing conventional LKPD with more interactive and engaging digital learning media, offering a scalable model for ICT adoption in vocational school settings with limited prior digital media exposure.
